Hotel Stari grad

Pros: A shame we only stayed one night... And these are a couple of things why: - parking was an issue because of a local event, the hotel owner parked or car as soon as a nearby spot became available - we got a free room upgrade, without even asking for it! - all staff went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible - the hotel is spot-on in the center of Jajce, with highlights like the waterfall, catacombs and the AVNOJ museum all within easy walking distance - the in-house restaurant featured an impressively extensive menu, with a good choice of local dishes. And that's not even mentioning the quality of those dishes... ;-) - breakfast (included in our room rate) was as good as dinner

Highly recommended place to stay

Pros: We were very lucky and received an upgrade to our room. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Lots of room to spread out. Stari Grad is right in the centre of the old town and close to all the main attractions. Staff were very helpful and were able to arrange a short excursion.

Cons: Everything was great, except the weather.

Great centrally located hotel close to everything in town

Pros: Hotel is right in the middle of town so is the perfect location for exploring the town and the local area. The hotel is a historical older building and is atmospheric. Staff were exceptionally friendly and allowed us to leave our bags in reception before check in and after check out. They are able to advise you on places to go and things to do in the area. The room was functional but clean and had a good nights sleep here. Breakfast was of a good quality with hot omelettes and a range or cheeses, bread and meats.

Cons: There are a lot of stairs to some rooms so if you are unable to carry your bags up a lot of stairs do let them know that you may need a room on a lower floor.

Pros: The location is perfect in the middle of Jajce. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The furniture is a bit dated but we didn’t mind it. The staff were nice and friendly.
